Not sure why I like this pic. Maybe it’s the stark nature of the scene or the atmosphere - I love a bit of mist. I was sitting at the PC looking through old files and it popped up in a folder I hadn’t looked at for a couple of years.
I took it while out for a walk in the mist not long after we moved to St Andrews. I thought the freshly-cropped hedge looked a bit sad and pathetic, like someone who had just had a really bad haircut. I was having a footer with it and thought it looked good with a bit of grain and so I went for a 13x19” print. Definitely on the minimalist side.
Wow…I LOVE this, Bruce!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Omar. It was a bit of a slow burner for me but I thought there must have been something about it that made me stop and have a good look.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance, it looks like your printer ran out of ink, or you held off on dipping part of it in developer. It catches my eye, because I want to figure out what's going on.
ReplyDeleteI thought exactly the same thing...
DeleteThanks, Mark
Thanks, Amanda. Yes, it’s a bit of a severe trim!
ReplyDeleteYeah I thought something had gone wrong too - had to do a double take.
